Potato Pizza Crust or Bread

This is a recipe I am proud of. Completely gluten free, oil-free, and 100 percent healthy.

Who knew you could not only make a pizza crust out of potatoes, but also turn that into bread as well???? Yes, one of my favorites!

You can use this for any pizza, but, I think using this topped with a tofu scramble, low fat vegan sausage, a vegan white gravy and other cut up veggies would be fantastic!

I have also used this as bread for my burgers! Awesome yes?! They hold up well too!

Potato Pizza Crust OR Bread

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Put your shreds in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Then, drain if necessary.
  3. Then, mix all of your ingredients together, by HAND.
  4. Put your mixture into a flat bottomed non stick skillet on high heat.
  5. Press it down as tightly as possible with a heavy dish or other pan.
  6. Then, leave it alone. Do NOT touch it. Let it dry fry for about 3 minutes on high heat, then on medium heat for around 7 minutes.
  7. Take a spatula and run around the edges. If it is ready it will loosen easily by itself.
  8. Take a large plate or other pan that will fit your potato crust/bread and place it on the top. Then, flip the pan over. It should release easily.
  9. Then, flip the uncooked side back into the pan. Cook this side for about 5 minutes.
  10. Place your skillet into the oven for 15 minutes. Be sure to use your oven mitts!!
  11. Depending on the thickness of your potato crust/bread, you may need a little bit longer.
  12. When finished, remove from the oven and put onto your cutting board or pizza board to cool.
  13. At this point, if you are making a pizza, add your toppings then place back into the oven for 10 minutes.
  14. If using as bread, let it cool completely then cut with either a pizza cutter or a very sharp knife into squares.
  15. Enjoy.
